Aghala is a crazy artist of the beauty city of (Koya)…Koya…!this city was not attempt me till knowing Aghala , the history of relationship is not so ancient , its going to be 3 years, so the attempting history of koya city is less than this date , from this time I interests of seeing and visiting the streets and quarters and houses , before when I went to Halwer , the vehicle was crossing to fast through Koya , and I telling myself who can live here …saying same while I returning back to Sulaimany in the same shapes , the nature of this city is hot comparison with Sulaimaniyah, but I have see that the women dressing blacks, I never understand , till now , previously Koya for me was- Hajy Kader , Sewa , Masood Mohammed , Tahir Tofiq , Haibba Sultan , and Chinarok , from now on , not to be like that.
Today Koya is the caravan of Mahmood Agha , Baiz Agha Quarter , Eskan street , new apartment, the house of Masood’s father , the barrenness tree of Tahir Tofiq’s house. I will leave the struggler of the kurdistan history in the other sides .My friendship with the artist Rostam Aghala , previously known by Rostam Rasol , today by (Aghala)(Rostam Aghala) or (Rostam Rasol Aghala) .. has not a long ages.
This Artist (The quick man) always running.
In the second middle of eightieth by chance he starting study ( Fine Artists Institutes- Plastic Artists) me and those who graduated of Institutes , they can not continue in the Artists aspects as the professions , the causal is the creating of the society and non providing their living sources .. then regretting the persons to his professions. Aghala is using the ornament , bright color in his arts too much, mostly and promote the backgrounds of his tableau and the surface with the figure .. this figure is mostly the human figures.
About the Artist:
Why this great sensitive ..? in fact Aghala had bear a big loves in his mind.. this love is collapse like Dokan and Derbandikhan river.. there were not any gate to get out.. that is why he expressed his feeling in his tableaus.In the times Aghala was like the Heepians.. dirty…paint ..has a long beard and careless , today he is dressing suit and wearing the expensive Jeans , this changes has its causal ,before Aghala was a lone young.. later on he loved Golla , and formed a family , Golla has learned him to cut his beard and to dress himself.
Aghala arts has the own population included the foreigners , his house in Koya is a semi-gallery.. most of the foreigners were visited there, and bought Aghala’s tableaus .In the next years I heard many things , saying because of Aghala is from Koya , that is why they take him the consideration and importance, by my opinion it’s the valueless of the artists production .
This artist has a tiny view and importance, by using a bright color and his loves to Kuristan’s nature , he recognized the relation between male and female and decoration and Kurd’s carpet to abroad. It is true that he has put some received gender inside his tableaus .. but it doesn’t decrease from the importance of the tableaus, in the other side his importance to the Kurdish houses and the type of Kurdish lives is not decrease from the importance of his arts.
The crazy Rostam as he said (I am crazy) he has a knowledge which things he wants , he wants to produce the arts talking about the tragedy of Kurdish lovers and youths , and to collect the beauty color of Kurdistan in his tableaus .He by his arts is talking about the architects and the house of his tiny city. Rostam most of times works by Pastel and oil , in the beginning pastel , later on oil,.. some voice has raised that the decorations is weaken his art.. but he strengthen his arts , in condition to not stop and to not be a dreamy in any station which is the his today’s arts .He has to provide his powers for more developing his arts.
